Meet Jo Wilcox our Best Foods Ambassador. Jo is a food stylist, food writer and a kiwi mum. She has previously owned a restaurant, a cake shop and a deli. What Jo loves most is developing quick, homemade recipes that are easy to make and delicious to eat.
Jo has created recipes using Best Foods Mayonnaise. Taking the Best mayo to a whole new level - adding a zing to family favourites, created some Best original dishes and found new uses such as baking!
With a focus on creating quick recipes with a Kiwi twist, Jo has developed delicious burgers using Best Foods Real and Lite Mayonnaise. Jo’s Best Burger uses Best Foods Real Mayonnaise in the burger mix for supremely moist and juicy patties.
In the name of Kiwiana, Jo set out to put a New Zealand spin on the humble burger. Honouring a Kiwi love of ham sammies and seafood Jo created Hot Ham Sandwiches with Mustard Mayo and Best Foods Shrimp Aioli Sliders. While these aren’t technically burgers they are the next BEST thing and are as Kiwi as.

During April & May the Best Foods Burger Truck hit the road across Auckland, Hamilton & Wellington. On the menu were Classic Beef & Cheese and Thai Style Chicken Sliders created by Jo Wilcox.
The Burger Truck was a huge hit! We served over 10,000 sliders to our Besties waiting to have a delicious snack.
Where to next? There’s been whispers of the truck making a come back, so keep an eye out Besties!

Best Foods was the silver sponsor of the comedy festival this year, and so the Best Comedy Show on Earth was born!
The Best Comedy Show on Earth took place on all three Sunday nights during the festival in Auckland (30th April, 7th & 14th of May), and every Tuesday to Saturday night during the festival in Wellington (2nd May – 20th May).
The laughs, and jars of mayo were countless at every show during the Comedy Festival. The Best Comedy Show on Earth had a tasty lineup of 10 top comedians each week, full of 100’s of jokes and plenty of giggles!
We had the ‘Best’ time being a part of the NZ International Comedy Festival this year! We can’t wait to see what next year brings.

Our goal was to be cage-free by 2020, and we’ve beaten that goal three years early. Now that’s something to be excited about!
