BBQ Meatball sliders with Summer Slaw

Serves 6 / makes about 12 mini meatballs

Meatball Sliders

  • 500 gms prime mince, pork mince, or chicken mince
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • ¼ cup Best Foods™ Mayonnaise
  • ½ teaspoon each of smoked paprika, mixed herbs and Cajun spice
  • 1 egg
  • 2-3 tablespoons panko crumbs
  • Sea salt & cracked pepper
  • Toasted mini buns/sliders

BBQ Mayonnaise

  • ¼ cup BBQ sauce
  • ¼ cup Best Foods™ Mayonnaise

Summer Slaw

  • 3 cups finely sliced coleslaw mix of red and green cabbage, grated carrot and thin coloured pepper strips
  • ¼ cup Best Foods™ Mayonnaise
  • Lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon celery salt.

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Cook time: 15 minutes

  1. Combine mince, onion, mayonnaise, herbs and spices, egg, panko and seasoning. Mix well and shape into small patties. Chill until ready to BBQ.
  2. Take the sliced coleslaw mix and combine with Best Foods™ Mayonnaise, a good squeeze of lemon juice and the celery salt. Mix and chill until ready.
  3. Combine the BBQ sauce and mayonnaise and set aside.
  4. Cook the little patties for 2-3 minutes each side on a pre-heat BBQ grill and sandwich between slider buns with coleslaw and a dollop of BBQ mayonnaise.
