Fish Sliders with Best Foods Tartare Sauce

Serves 10 sliders

Tartare sauce ingredients:

  • 1 cup Best Foods mayonnaise
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp capers
  • 2 tbsp diced gherkins
  • 2 tbsp diced onion
  • 2 tbsp thinly sliced spring onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Fish sliders ingredients:

  • 500g white fish fillets
  • Salt, pepper, dried herbs
  • 10 slider buns or small bread rolls
  • Best Foods mayonnaise
  • Alfalfa sprouts
  • 1/2 a red onion
  • Tartare sauce (see above)

Tartare sauce method:

  1. Combine ingredients together in a bowl or jar
  2. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate until required


Fish Sliders method:

  1.  Cut fish fillets into slider-sized pieces. Season with salt, pepper and any dried herbs you have on hand.
  2. Brush slider buns with Best Foods mayonnaise and grill on a hot barbecue until golden. While buns are toasting, grill fish fillets on a hot barbecue for 2-3 minutes, flipping once
  3. Place the slider buns on a platter or board, lay alfalfa sprouts on bottom buns, add sliced red onion, top with a piece of fish, a generous dollop of tartare sauce and finish with the top bun
