Flat Iron Steak Stack with Bacon and a Sunnyside Egg



  •        2 flat iron steaks, seasoned and rubbed with olive oil
  •        2 large slices of sourdough bread
  •        3-4 rashers of smokey bacon
  •        1 large egg
  •        1 sliced heirloom tomato
  •        Butter crunch lettuce
  •        Best Foods Mayonnaise
  •        Chilli sauce
  •        Salt and pepper
  1. Heat up your BBQ. In a small bowl place around ½ cup of Best Foods mayonnaise and swirl through your favourite hot sauce. Put aside
  2. Fry the bacon until crispy on your hot plate
  3. Toast the bread slices in the leftover bacon fat
  4. Cook the steak for 2-3 minutes each side for medium rare and set aside to rest.
  5. Drop your egg on the hot plate and cook sunnyside up until the yolk begins to set. Season with salt and pepper
  6. Smear Best Foods mayonnaise on one piece of sourdough and top with lettuce leaves and tomato
  7. Thickly slice the steaks, position in the sandwich and top with bacon and the egg
  8. Pour over the chilli spiced mayo and serve
