Pulled Piggy Buns


Pulled Pork

  • 1/3 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt, coarse
  • 1 ½ tablespoon Chipotle BBQ Sauce
  • 2 kg pork shoulder
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • ½ cup cider vinegar
  • 50 ml Worcestershire sauce

Shred Salad

  • 100g red cabbage, shredded
  • 100g red apple, shredded

Fillings & Bread

  • 3 tablespoons Best Foods™ Real Mayonnaise
  • 100g crab, drained
  • 10 brioche buns, toasted

  1. Pulled pork: Mix the brown sugar, salt and chipotle BBQ sauce. Rub sauce mix over pork and allow to marinate for 24 hours in a baking tray. Cook at 180°C in oven until deep brown in colour.
  2. Combine apple cider, cider vinegar and Worcestershire sauce. Pour sauces over pork and cover tightly. Cook at 140c for a further 4 hours. Shred pork.
  3. Shred salad: Combine cabbage and apple.
  4. Mix Best Foods™ Real Mayonnaise and crab.
  5. Construct in the following order: bun, pulled pork, crab, shred salad and bun.
